From our base in Kaplice we will spend time in the beautiful Cesky Krumlov – a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also see the historic town of Budweis and travel to Austria and the city of Linz.
We start with a local departure for our journey via the cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to the Continent. From here we continue to our overnight stopover in France / Germany.
On day 2 we continue to the Czech Republic and our hotel – the 4* Wellness Hotel Corona. This is set close to the border crossing with Austria. The hotel is well appointed and features include a wellness area with sauna, hot tub, sun bed and massages on site, (available at extra cost). There is a bar and restaurant.
During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- Cesky Krumlov. This is known as the South Bohemian Pearl. On arrival you will be met by a local guide who will show you the highlights of the town. We have included admission to the castle – the 2nd biggest in the Czech Republic. As well there are charming churches and attractive architecture.
- A visit to the historic town of Budweis. Here we enjoy an included visit to the Ceske Budejovice Budvar Brewery. Afterwards we continue to the charming village of Holasovice – a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- A visit to the Austrian city of Linz – a traditional riverside town with stunning half timbered buildings. During the day we have included a harbour cruise with some great views of the city
On day 7 we commence our journey home, travelling via an overnight stopover, arriving back on day 8
