We start with a local departure for our journey by coach to Germany and the breathtaking Rhine Valley. We stay at the riverside town of Lahnstein at the comfortable family run Hotel Weiland. All rooms have private facilities and the cuisine here enjoys a fine reputation. Dinner is included on nights 2 and 3.

- A tour of the Rhine Valley area taking in the Lorelei Rock, Rhine Gorge and Rudesheim – one of the most celebrated of the Rhineland’s wine towns. During the day we have included a river cruise
- A tour to the cathedral city of Cologne. There will be time for shopping and sightseeing.
