Treasures of Italy

We will stay at the charming spa resort of Fiuggi, nestling in the hills of Monti Ernici – approximately 40 miles east of Rome. The surrounding countryside is picturesque with rolling hills covered in olive groves and centuries old pine forests. The town itself is centred around 2 spas which are set in an attractive park just a short walk away from the main shops, restaurants and cafes.

5 Nights, dinner bed and breakfast accommodation will be reserved at good class 3* Hotels such as the Hotel Sud America: Olympic, Hotel Fiore or similar. All hotels will feature rooms with private bathrooms etc. and all will have restaurant and bar facilities.

Overnight hotels will be city style or family run.

Day 1
Depart from selected regional pick up points and travel to Dover from where we take the short sea crossing to the Continent. After clearing Customs formalities we continue through France to our overnight hotel. Accommodation has been reserved on a bed and continental breakfast basis.

Day 2
After breakfast we continue our journey south arriving in Fiuggi during the mid to late evening. Accommodation has been reserved for 5 nights on a dinner, bed and continental breakfast basis at comfortable 3* hotels such as the Hotel Sud America; Fiore, Olympic or similar. All rooms have private bathrooms and hotel features include a restaurant, bar etc.

Today we have an included full day tour to Rome with a City Guide featuring many of the major sights. Voyage back into history and see The Colosseum, St Peters and The Vatican, The Spanish Steps and The Trevei Fountain. To ease congestion coaches have been banned from driving around the city centre. However we have included a guided walking tour.

Our included excursion today takes us to Sorrento. Discover the cosmopolitan atmosphere with a true Italian style and an abundance of shops, restaurants and pavement cafes. Take time to wander through the old cobbled streets of the historic centre and enjoy shopping along the main street – Corso Italia – or simply stroll down to the picturesque harbours of Marina Grande and Marina Piccola.

We have an optional excursion to the beautiful Isle of Capri. We take the ferry and visit Capri town with its main square, or the gardens of Augustus. Enjoy the picture postcard views. Price: £79.95 per person.

Day 6 - At leisure to savour the Italian atmosphere or perhaps have a wander round Fiuggi

Check out of the hotel following breakfast and commence our journey home. We make our way to our overnight hotel in eastern France where accommodation as been reserved on a bed and continental breakfast basis. All rooms will be with private facilities.

Day 8
Continue our journey to the channel port from where we take the short sea crossing to the U.K. and onwards back to your local area.
