Wroxham and Hoveton St. John are two connected villages, split by the River Bure. Most of the village facilities are in Hoveton, but are generally known as Wroxham - ‘the capital of the Norfolk Broads’.
One shopping brand dominates the centre of Wroxham - Roys. Roys was founded in 1895 and is probably the largest village store in the country today. Wroxham also has plenty of pubs, restaurants, cafes and tea rooms - some with lovely river views. There is a lovely riverside park with public moorings, bridges, paths and seating areas which makes a lovely spot for a stroll or to feed the ducks!
- The Cathedral City of Norwich
This medieval city is the Capital of East Anglia and is dominated by its Norman castle and cathedral. You will find a maze of cobbled streets in the Tomb Lane and Cathedral area dating back to the 14th Century. If history is not for you, then for the shoppers amongst you Norwich is in the top ten for shopping in the UK. It has the largest 6-day open air market in the country and hundreds of speciality shops in a maze of cobble-stoned lanes and alleys, and The Castle Mall, an underground aladdins cave of designer shops is certainly worth a visit.
