Dating back to the 16th century Strasbourg is the oldest Christmas market in France and one of the largest with enchanting stalls selling handicrafts, mulled wine, traditional cakes and other delights in the magical, mediaeval square beneath the city's imposing pink sandstone Gothic cathedral. When combined with a visit to the magical Christmas Markets at Colmar and a stay in a 3* hotel near Strasbourg - this is a break that is hard to beat.

We start with a local departure for our journey to France via Eurotunnel or ferry. On arrival we head south of Strasbourg to Klingenthal, Boersch where accommodation has been reserved for 3 nights bed and breakfast with dinner on nights 2 & 3 at the
3* Hotel Des Vosges. All rooms have private bathroom and hotel features include a chic restaurant with terrace, indoor pool and garden.
Day 2 Strasbourg - included excursion to explore extensive Christmas Markets. Stroll through the Marche De Noel and take in the sights and smells.
On day 3 Colmar. Visit this pretty French town. Explore the legendary Christmas Markets. The old town here is spectacular and a procession of decorations lead you to stalls selling a variety of festive goods.
On day 4 we return home.
