• Bonn – the former capital of West Germany with its historical buildings and Rhineside walks

Day One – Düsseldorf .We depart by coach during the very early morning  and take you via France to Düsseldorf. Here we join the ship. The evening is free for you to stroll around the magnificent streets and along the riverside promenades of this attractive town.You may prefer to stay on board and acquaint yourself with the ship.

Day Two – Düsseldorf – Andernach.

Day Three – Andernach - Cochem

Day Four – Cochem – Koblenz

Day Five – Koblenz – Rudesheim

Day Six – Rudesheim – Mainz

Day Seven – Mainz – Bonn

Day Eight – Bonn – Düsseldorf.  Bid a fond farewell to the captain and crew and disembark after breakfast  for the return journey by coach to the UK

This 4 star vessel offers top class accommodation with service to match. You can relax in style whether you are conversing with your friends or enjoying a quiet moment in your own company. All cabins have modern comforts . They are situated over three decks. Most have twin beds which fold into the wall during the day leaving small sofa style seats. Cabins have individual thermostats, a wall safe, a direct dial telephone and a television. The Dutch Melody’s Serenade deck cabins have floor to Ceiling sliding glass doors and a small balcony. Sonata/Cantata deck accommodation has large picture windows while Prélude deck cabins are located at water level and have chest high windows.

- A lift serving the Serenade Deck and Sonata /Cantata  Deck ( It does not serve the Prelude Deck)

The ships amenities include a spacious lounge with large windows from which you can enjoy the passing scenery.  It is also where you will find the well-stocked bar/pub. Tea/coffee and pastries are served twice a day depending on the daily schedule.

In the restaurant mouthwatering meals are served. Cuisine on board the MS Dutch melody is international and there are usually some local and regional specialities.  Tea/coffee is included with all meals. Most evenings there is a late snack usually served around 10.00 pm.

Up top you’ll find a partially shaded sundeck with comfortable sun loungers. There is a fitness room and sauna and whirlpool at the bow of the Cantata  deck, the lounge,/pub/bar  are above them on the Serenade deck which also boasts the restaurant aft.          

Important Notes
If any aspect of the cruise is changed  due to weather conditions etc  no compensation will apply. The on-board currency is Euros. Visa/MasterCard accepted  on board. For navigational and passenger safety the cruise company and the captain reserve the right to modify the cruise itinerary if necessary. Sailing  times are dependent on how busy the numerous locks are.  At some ports of call a degree of walking will be involved to join our coach/Ship. Due to limited docking facilities it may be necessary to dock alongside another ship to access the shore.
