We start with a local departure for our journey south. Accommodation has been reserved for 4 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at a carefully chosen hotel. All rooms are well appointed and features include a restaurant and bar.
During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- Kingswear, Dartmouth and Totnes. Travel to Paignton for a ride on the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway to Kingswear. From here we take the ferry over the Dart to the ‘olde worlde’ port of Dartmouth with time available before boarding a river boat for a ride on the scenic River Dart to Totnes
- Plymouth and the Tamar Estuary. Travel to Plymouth this morning for sightseeing before taking a train trip up the beautiful Tamar Estuary to Gunnislake before continuing to Tavistock
- Looe Valley & the Eden Project. Board the train for a ride up the pretty Looe Valley line to Liskeard. Continue by coach to St Austell for a visit to the Eden Project before returning via Bodmin Moor passing Daphne de Maurier’s ‘Jamaica Inn’
