In Montecatini Termi you will stay for 5 nights at the 4* Hotel Adua. This is set close to the centre of town. All rooms are well appointed. Features include an indoor and outdoor pool together with spa facilities, (charge payable locally).
Overnight hotels are city style. Please Note: Porterage is not available in 'overnight' hotels.
Day 1 - Departure from your chosen pick up point and travel to the channel port from where we take the short sea crossing to the Continent. After clearing Customs formalities we continue to our overnight hotel where accommodation is reserved on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 - Continue our journey to Italy arriving in Montecatini Termi – Tuscany. Here the next 5 nights dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation is reserved.
Days 3 - 6 – we have included these great excursions:
- Siena – one of the most perfectly preserved Mediaeval towns in Europe. Its narrow streets are lined with palaces and mansions leading to the famous Piazza del Campo. Don’t miss the famous cathedral, the Sala del Pellegrinaio and admire the view from the Facciatone or ‘big façade’
- Lucca and Pisa. Lucca is one of Italy’s finest mediaeval towns. Don’t miss the cathedral of San Martino and the Piazza Napoleone. Afterwards we visit Pisa where you can view the famous leaning tower
- Florence. Today we visit the art city. A guided walking tour is included. Don’t miss the Palazzo Vecchio, cathedral, the Bell Tower and the Ponte Vecchio – Florence’s lovely old bridge’.
- San Gimignano. This enchanting hilltop town is known as the ‘town of the beautiful towers’ – a striking feature of the Tuscan landscape. Enjoy the piazzas and great shopping try the Via San Giovanni. During the day you can taste the local wine specialities at a special wine tasting, (admission extra)
Day 7 - Depart for France for our overnight stopover
Day 8 - Continue home, arriving back later on
