Day 1 – we depart during the morning for our journey North. We travel into Scotland and our hotel – the Crianlarich Hotel. This comfortable hotel has a bar and restaurant and all rooms are well appointed.
Day 2 – travel north hugging the shoreline of Loch Lomond and pass Arrochar to take in the ancient town of Inveraray. We visit the castle and gardens – one of Scotland’s top attractions. Admission is not included but you can roam the grounds for free. Return back to the hotel for dinner and the night
Day 3 – we head north to Fort William passing countless lochs, with a stop at Eilean Donan Castle – famous in many blockbuster films. The coastline then unfolds heading into Wester Ross with dramatic coastal views of the Islands. Loch Marree is viewed as one of Scotland’s most picturesque lochs. Time free in the coastal village of Gairloch before completing the journey to Ullapool. Here accommodation has been reserved for 3 nights at the Royal Hotel. This has a lovely lochside location
Day 4 – Inverewe Gardens – south from Ullapool are the dizzying depths of Corrieshalloch Gorge. Along the road to Poolewe are great sea views over golden beaches and green, rocky islands. Entrance included into the most famous of Scotland’s gardens – Inverewe – warmed by the Gulf Stream is able to sustain plants from many temperate regions of the world.
Day 5 – Outer Hebrides – a fabulous day awaits. After breakfast we board the ‘Loch Seaforth’ ship as foot passengers for the 2 hour sailing to the Outer Hebrides and Stornoway, arriving around 13.30 hours. Your private coach with an experienced guide will take you on a wonderful tour of the island, visiting the 5,000 year old Callanish Standing Stones, the ancient ‘Blackhouses’, fortified 2,000 year old Carloway Broch and a Tweed Mill. Returning on the sunset cruise back to Ullapool, with dinner on board.
Day 6 – Inverness to Perthshire. Sweeping across open moorlands we arrive in Inverness for a stop, taking a short detour to see Loch Ness with photo opportunities before heading south through Speyside and into Perthshire for your final night stay
Day 7 – continue our journey home, arriving back later on
