Enjoy a weekend break which includes a visit to the filming location of the hugely popular 'Call the Midwife' TV series. At the historic dockyard, Chatham, you will be greeted by your very own 'Midwife' and taken on a guided tour of some of the outdoor locations featured in the series.

Please Note: Since the ‘Call the Midwife’ tour takes place outside we advise suitable footwear, clothing and an umbrella in the event of inclement weather. Areas of the dockyard have steps, slopes and uneven surfaces. The actual construction of the warships mean there are plenty of step ladders and hatches so those with mobility difficulties are not able to access all areas. Some of the tours at the dockyard are timed but it may be possible for you to book slots on the day. If any aspect of the visit to Chatham dockyards is unavailable for any reason or provided in a different format from that shown no compensation will be applicable.

Your Itinerary:

On day 1 we take you to central London. There will be time for shopping and sightseeing. Afterwards we make our way to our hotel where rooms have been reserved, with private facilities, for the night. Dinner is included.

On day 2 we take you to historic Rochester with its castle, cathedral and connections to Charles Dickens, before travelling on to Chatham historic dockyard. A stunning 80 acre site with historic buildings, cobbled streets, museum, galleries, historic warships and a vibrant programme of events and activities. The dockyards have been used for many films and TV productions including ‘Sherlock Holmes’, ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Downton Abbey’ and ‘Call the Midwife’.

Here we include the ‘Call the Midwife experience’ - a walking tour led by your very own midwife visiting areas used for many of the scenes in the hugely popular TV series.
