We start with a local departure for our journey via the Cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to the Continent. From here we make our way to southern Holland and Valkenburg. The Hotel Walram is set in the heart of town and handy for all the shops, bars and street cafes. Rooms all have private facilities. Features include a restaurant and indoor pool.
During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- In the morning a steam train ride on the Limburgse Steam Railway. This crosses through beautiful scenery of Limburg. In the afternoon there is time to explore Valkenburg. You may want to go to the caves etc.
- A visit to the picture postcard town of Monschau in Germany. It is characterised by its half timbered buildings in a steep sided valley overlooked by a Mediaeval castle.
Make our way back to Valkenburg via the city of Aachen, famous for its cathedral.
