We start with a local departure by coach for our journey to the Continent and our overnight stopover in France / Germany. From here we continue through the soaring peaks of the Swiss alps arriving in the Lake Como area on day 2. In Lake Como we have reserved accommodation at the Hotel Bazzoni. This is set in the centre of Tremezzo in front of the lake. All rooms have private facilities and for a supplement - rooms are available with private balcony and lake view. Other features include a restaurant and bar together with a garden and outdoor swimming pool, (open in Summer months only). Tremezzo is a beautiful lakeside town. Don't miss the church of San Lorenzo and the Villa Carlotta.

On your day at leisure you may wish to visit the Villa Carlotta and its famous garden.
During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- Meet with a guide at the hotel and take a short walk to the famous Villa Carlotta where we board a private boat for a panoramic trip of the central part of Lake Como. We will pass by some of the most famous villas and gardens such as Villa Pirelli, Villa Serbelloni, Richard Branson’s villa, (Villa Cassinella) etc. We stop at the beautiful village of Bellagio. The guide will explain some of the history and there will be free time before we return back on the boat to the hotel
- For many the highlight of the trip – a single leg journey on the Bernina Express from Tirano to St Moritz – an amazing experience with spectacular close up views of the Alps, white glaciers and black lakes, voted one of the best train journeys in the world. Join the international ‘jet set’ in the glamorous ski resort with its champagne climate and glamorous reputation. On the return journey we travel via the Maloya Pass and the lovely Roman village of Chiavenna. Please Note: We travel on the ‘Red Train’ – this does not have windows in the roof.
- A visit to the fashion capital of the world – Milan. As an optional extra - £10 per person – you can join the guided tour with a knowledgeable local guide. Don’t miss the mighty Gothic Duomo crowned with lace-like spires, statues and gargoyles. Other sites not to be missed are the Castello Sforzesio and Italy’s premier opera house – La Scala. (Admission extra). During the day, also pay a visit to the renowned fashion centres such as Dolce and Gabbana, Versace and Armani
On day 7 we commence our journey home, returning to our final overnight stopover before returning back on day 8
