We start with a local departure for our journey via the cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to the Continent. Continue through northern France to arrive at our hotel during the evening. 3 nights bed and breakfast accommodation has been reserved.
On day 2 we take you to Rouen – a thriving centre and the 3rd largest port in France. It is steeped in history. Don’t miss the many museums as well as the Gothic cathedral of Notre Dame, immortalised by Claude Monet.
On day 3 we take you to the picturesque village of Giverny on the banks of the Seine. This is the home of French Impressionist painter Claude Monet. You will have ample time to explore or simply wander through Monet’s cheery, spacious house and exuberant gardens which were the inspiration of his famous ‘Water Lily’ series. Admission to the house and garden is included.
On day 4 we make our way home.
