We start with a local departure by coach for our journey to the Welsh port where we board the ferry for the sea crossing to Ireland. We make our way to our hotel – Lawlors – an old Harry Shaw favourite. This overlooks the harbour in the historic town of Dungarvan. All rooms have private facilities and features include a bar and restaurant.
During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- A visit to Blarney Castle, (admission not included), with time to kiss the famous stone of eloquence. As well there will be time to browse in Blarney town’s woollen mills retail outlet. We then continue on to Cork – Ireland’s second city – known for its bridges spanning the River Lee and its selection of bars, restaurants and cafes
- A visit to the charming Mediaeval town of Kilkenny. Don’t miss the pretty lane ways, 13th century cathedral and historic castle
- An excursion to the thriving maritime city of Waterford – the capital of Ireland’s sunny south east coast. Continue on to Tramore – a traditional seaside resort
