We start with a local departure by coach for our journey north. Accommodation has been reserved for 4 nights at one of Scarborough’s landmarks – the Grand Hotel – which is located in the town centre overlooking the harbour and South Bay. All rooms have private facilities and TV. Features include a restaurant, bar and cabaret room.
During your stay the hotel have arranged many festive highlights including:
- Entertainment on each evening
- On Christmas Eve, for those going to midnight mass, mulled wine and mince pies on their return
- On Christmas Day – full Christmas lunch – with the usual trimmings: Christmas cake, tea and coffee and a light buffet dinner with tea and coffee at night
The following excursions are included:
- A visit to historic York – with its host of attractions including the famous Minster and the Shambles
- A day of contrasts as we take in the rolling coastline of the Yorkshire Moors and the harbour town of Whitby, (once home to Captain Cook)
