We start with a local departure for our journey via the cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to France. From here we make our way to Belgium. Accommodation has been reserved for 2 nights on a bed and Continental breakfast basis at the Hotel Ibis Brussels Erasmus. This offers access to Brussels central station as the metro is closeby. All rooms have private facilities. Features include a bar and restaurant.
On day 2 we take you to central Brussels. The Christmas market offers a wealth of Christmas gift ideas and treats from handmade toys and crafts to seasonal gastronomic delights! Don’t miss the festively decorated Place St Catherine as well as the smaller markets and the magnificent Grand Place and fish market.
As an optional extra you can sample traditional, delicious Belgium cuisine with a 3-course meal at the award winning Chez Leon Restaurant in central Brussels. Price: £25 per person. This must be booked in advance. The meal will be taken at around 17.30-18.00 hours.
On day 3 we check out of our hotel and make our way to the ‘chocolate and lace’ city of Bruges. Discover the Mediaeval architecture, quaint cobbled streets, picturesque network of canals and UNESCO World Heritage Centre. The Christmas market is famed for its beautifully wrapped chocolates, colourful sweets and handmade decorations. On the way home we visit a wine and beer warehouse. Please remember all items must be for personal consumption and Customs and Excise suggested limits must be adhered to. Return back later on.
Please Note: Harry Shaw / City Cruiser have no control over individual aspects of any Christmas Market. If any elements are not available during your stay there will be no compensation payable. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the optional meal please make this known to the restaurant staff at the time. No correspondence will be entered into about the meal afterwards.
